A cadenza is a moment in classical music where everything else falls away, and the spotlight shifts to a singular, expressive solo—improvised, captivating, and unforgettable. At Boca, Cadenza is our way of channeling that spirit into dining: the restaurant transforms around a focused theme, transporting guests to another place entirely—be it the streets of Paris, the bustle of New York, or beyond. Like its musical namesake, each experience is a fleeting, brilliant performance meant to astonish, resonate, and linger.

Performance One: 36 Hours in New York City
After an intense 36-hour R&D sprint through New York City’s most dynamic dining scenes, Chef Falk returned energized and ready to revive Boca’s Cadenza series with 36 Hours in New York City. For the visual identity, I created a wordmark inspired by vintage editorials—an intentional nod to the character and charm of New York, offering a refreshing contrast to the often sterile landscape of contemporary fine dining branding.

Performance Two: La Truffe
La Truffe was a celebration of the iconic allure of the French black truffle. Just as one should cook with truffle—allowing its beauty to shine—I let the ingredient speak for itself in the brand identity, centering it around an illustration that echoes the intricate marbling found within the fungus.

Performance 3: From The Vault
From the Vault was a special edition of Boca’s Cadenza series that unearthed a collection of dishes that Chef had explored in the past but never brought to the main menu. A romantic journey through the "vault" of the kitchen, the experience offered guests a rare taste of culinary ideas once tucked away, now brought to life in a series of indulgent evenings. For the brand identity, I took the opportunity to draw Boca’s iconic red door as a vault door.
