Cognitive is a platform that generates dynamic, daily and visual journal entries for those who want a more creative and stimulating approach to exercising mindfulness. I created the basis for this system, its branding, and an extensive promotional video for my senior thesis project. 

Cognitive’s brand is a reflection of the work that it enables users to make. Taking on an experimental and carefree yet intentional image, Cognitive’s visual brand lives to serve as a representation of what the platform is capable of. 

In the interest of keeping each composition diverse and intentional, Cognitive’s image treatment system dissects images along a grid system based off of a variety of different emotions. Users can then click and drag pieces of the image to create their composition. 

I created this comprehensive story / demonstration of the platform and how it is used. 

For our final showcase, I created a display for Cognitive that encapsulated its interactive nature. In addition to the project poster, I displayed the explanation video on a monitor that ran on a Raspberry Pi which allowed the viewer to press a 3D printed button to launch the video. I also built an analogue representation of my image processing system for people to manipulate, as well as a flipbook of my wordmark animation.
